Tayto, Failte Ireland and An Post were just some of the big names who scooped accolades at the 26th annual Spider Awards, which took place at The Round Room at The Mansion House, Dublin, Friday, March 3rd, 2023. Otherwise known as ‘the digital Oscars’, the Spider Awards is the longest running digital ceremony in Ireland that honours the most innovative marketing and social media campaigns that have steadily grown legs.
Crisp giant Tayto Snacks won ‘Best in Social Media’ for their campaign in association with agencies Verve|Showrunner, whilst Failte Ireland was announced as Best in Universal Design for their work with creative group All Human. In addition to this, An Post scooped the ‘Best app’ and ‘Design & UX Team’ awards.

Vodafone Ireland – Best Integrated Media Campaign
NCBI – Digital Team of the Year
AGI – Best Use of Disruptive Technology
Action24 – Best Consumer Campaign
Energia Group – Best on Storytelling
With over 20 categories, the two most popular for entries included Best Influencer Led Campaign and Best in Social Media, demonstrating the growing interest in Irish companies reaching consumers through platforms such as instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
A number of new categories were woven into this year’s ceremony, including Best Collaboration, Design & UX Team, Digital Team of the Year, and Best Event Campaign. In addition to this, organisers put a fresh twist on the event, through the inclusion of the ‘Digital Hero Award’ whereby attendees were asked to share a photo of their best superpose in an attempt to win a much coveted Spider award on the night.
Winners were carefully chosen by a panel of business leaders, visionaries, business leaders and web experts. Previous award recipients include Revolut, AIB, Tribe and The Good Glow.
