Black History Month 2022 – First-in-Ireland diversity career development events hosted by the African Professional Network of Ireland
To celebrate Black History Month this October, the African Professional Network of Ireland (APNI) in partnership with LinkedIn is hosting one of the largest events ever for Ireland’s Black community- The APNI Career Day.
This groundbreaking hybrid event (in-person and virtual) will take place at LinkedIn’s modern HQ in Wilton Place, Dublin 2 and is free to attend. Speakers at the afternoon event on 13 October will provide candid advice on how job seekers can start, build, or transition their careers and set the right objectives.

Students, recent graduates and early stage professionals are invited on 13 October to discover the breadth of jobs available across the country. The event will give job seekers an inside look at the finance, technology, healthcare and consulting positions currently open across a number of employers. FREE WORKSHOPS PRE-EVENT
In the lead up to this exciting event two free virtual workshops will be held in advance designed to support all job seekers, whether they are looking for a new job or hoping to transition to a different career altogether.
The first workshop, hosted virtually by event partner LinkedIn will focus on how to “Rock Your LinkedIn Profile” will be on 15 September. This exclusive session is tailored to help build a powerful professional brand on the platform that speaks for you and helps you get the roles you want.
The second workshop will also be hosted virtually and will be led by Yahoo on 29 September. The theme will be a focused CV prep workshop with the aim of guiding you toward building a CV that is not limited to one sector or industry but opens up many opportunities.
Both workshops are free and will set up all attendees at the career day with exactly what they need to capitalise on the career day events and feel confident that they can excel in their chosen fields.

The career day events across September and October will be a significant milestone for D&I recruitment in Ireland and the Inaugural Annual Career Day event on the 13th of October will provide networking, personal development and job opportunities to all attendees.“

AGENDA FOR CAREER DAY
The Agenda for the event on 13 October kicks off at 15.00 running till 21.00 with a networking session followed by fireside chats, and invaluable opportunities to connect with recruiters, discover more about employers who are committed to Diversity and Inclusion in a meaningful way. From finance to health tech and funds some of the best employers in the country are on hand to discuss careers in person.
