Applications now open for KPMG Global Tech Innovator 2023

KPMG has launched its search for Ireland’s next top tech innovator. Now in its third year in Ireland, the competition is open to Irish tech entrepreneurs and start-up businesses which are pure technology, tech-enabled, tech-led, or tech-driven.

Are you Ireland’s next tech giant?

Shortlisted entrants will be invited to pitch their innovations and present their growth ambitions to a panel of judges, including successful entrepreneurs and investors.

Commenting on the competition, Anna Scally, Partner, Head of Technology & Media, said:

“Ireland’s tech sector is a major contributor to the strength of our resilience and our economic, social and environmental sustainability. Our aim is to support the continued growth of the tech sector and the entrepreneurs who are becoming the next generation of technology leaders. Regardless of where they are on their business journey, we’re inviting tech innovators throughout the country and the region to consider this extraordinary opportunity to introduce their innovations to the world and take their businesses to the next level.

“The first step is very simple: participate in the KPMG Private Enterprise Global Tech Innovator competition; make important connections; and gain recognition and professional guidance on your growth plans from some of the most trusted advisors, industry leaders and influencers in our country and other major world markets.”

The overall winner in Ireland will progress to the Global Tech Innovator final to be held during Web Summit 2023 in Lisbon in November. The prize also includes travel and accommodation to Lisbon, tickets to Web Summit as part of KPMG’s delegation, an exhibition stand for one day, and access to exclusive networking events and mentoring opportunities.

Last year, Ireland’s entrant Provizio, fronted by Limerick man Barry Lunn, won the Irish competition and came third overall at the global final in Lisbon.

Niall Flood, Managing Director, Corporate Finance, said:

“Being selected as a finalist in the Global Tech Innovator competition can be a huge accelerant to your business. Participants receive invaluable advice from our high calibre judging panel and previous entrants have gone on to raise substantial funding and/or be acquired by global Tech & Media businesses.”.
